Arlington Launch

SPACE is delighted to announce new studio developments at Arlington in central Camden and the arches at Timber Wharf in Shoreditch.

Both developments result from a partnership with One Housing Group, one of London’s leading providers of high quality, affordable homes.

Arlington was opened on the 10th June by Mayor of London Boris Johnson. Arlington will house artists and social enterprises including SPACE in a beautifully restored Victorian building alongside residents, to enhance what was formerly exclusively a hostel for homeless men.

Kevin Beirne, One Housing Group’s Director of Housing, Care and Support said:
“We are delighted to have brought SPACE on board and very much look forward to working with them to positively impact the Arlington project and bring benefit
to Camden as a whole.”

A meeting of vision and pioneering approaches to London’s social economy has enabled this partnership. SPACE’s expertise in delivering studios and regeneration has been recognised as key to the development mix.

Anna Harding, Chief Executive of SPACE said: “In recent years SPACE have almost exclusively provided studios in East London with many sites at the Olympic edge. These more central opportunities have only become possible because of our partnership with One Housing Group. This is part of our long-term strategy to continue our history of innovating and nurturing creative communities with sustainable and affordable spaces”.
