SPACE delighted at increase in ACE funding
SPACE is delighted to have received an 11.3% real terms increase in it's Arts Council Funding for 2012 - 2015
SPACE (Art Services Grants Limited) announce an increase in their Arts Council grant for 2012-2015.
After the 6.9% reduction in core grant this year, we're delighted to have received an increase of 22.2% which represents a real change of 11.3% for 2012-2015.
This will enable us to build on important and previously unfunded areas of our work - Learning and Participation and Artists Professional Development.
We are delighted that ACE have recognised the energy and commitment of SPACE and its artists to engaging more people from a wide range of backgrounds through our learning programmes and value our growing programme to support artists in their first years after college.
Our Learning and Participation work has been recognised for the value it brings to communities in Barking, Hackney and Tower Hamlets. Our ongoing support for the professional development of artists is a fundamental aspect of SPACE's work, which we now have the chance to develop.
The grant of £230,000 represents 7% of our turnover.
